Dr. Tsovinar Harutyunyan (AUA MPH 1999) appointed as Assistant Professor in the College of Health Sciences – 01-11-2011

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tsovinar Harutyunyan as Assistant Professor in the College of Health Sciences and as Research Consultant in the Center for Health Services Research and Development (CHSR).  Dr. Harutyunyan earned her Ph.D. in Health Services Research from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) in 2011.  Her doctoral dissertation explored complex relationships between multiple socioeconomic factors and nutritional status of children under five in Armenia.

While at UNCC, Dr. Harutyunyan served as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Associate.  She developed and taught undergraduate courses, and assisted in teaching several graduate courses.   Dr. Harutyunyan received her MPH degree in 1999 from the American University of Armenia, and worked in the CHSR for over seven years as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist before joining the doctoral program at UNCC.  
She has published multiple articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
